On August 27th, 2014, we piled into the car and drove up to Island Lake for our fourth year of demoing. It was Meet Your Teacher night, which meant plenty of kids gathered around our table while their parents chatted about the summer.
Although both us and our robot were a bit rusty due to 5 months without Lego League (aka 5 months of boredom), we got started up pretty quickly. There were a few kids who hung around us for almost the entire time, fascinated with the robot, and some parents asking for pens so they could fill out the forms then and there. We ended up walking away with only three forms; we had brought fifty, so that meant forty-seven possible new recruits!
It was very exciting to see the new generation of Lego League enthusiasts and, as always, we enjoyed talking to both the kids and parents alike.
