A few weeks before the event itself, the official FTC Twitter account tweeted asking for FTC teams who had been in FLL. We sent them an email and were invited to help host a Twitter chat on the topic of transitioning from one FIRST program to another. Since our first Twitter chat was only hosted by us and another team, we were excited to see what this would be like, considering there would be 5+ other FTC teams on the phone at the same time.
The purpose of the chat was to show FLL teams why and how to switch to FTC. Several rookie FTC teams asked questions and got to know more experienced teams online. It was a fun opportunity for us to share our knowledge with new teams and convince FLL graduates to continue in FIRST robotics.
