Stacy’s Shoreview Library Storytime

Guest written by Stacy the Robot

For a couple weeks, I had heard that there was going to be a special storytime at the library and I was going to be the guest of honor. My human assistants seemed really excited about it, but I didn’t know what to think. The storytime was for 2-5 year olds and I don’t know much about young humans. But, I kept an open mind as my assistants helped me into the car, and soon we were on our way to the Shoreview library.

When we got to the library, I met a really nice human called a librarian. She had planned a whole storytime all about robots and started by introducing me to the kids. She read a couple books about robots, we sang a few songs and danced some dances. I had fun joining the kids and showing off my dance moves while we were singing. The small humans were wonderful! There were about 45 children there, and they loved watching me as much as I liked watching them. They would oooo and ahhh every time I moved and became especially excited when I showed off my ball throwing skills. I found myself wishing storytime was longer so I could spend more time with adorable little humans.

At the end of the storytime, all the little human children lined up and gave me high fives. I loved getting to meet each and every one! After a high five, one of my assistants gave them them an I ♡ Robots sticker. Several of the kids snuck back into line, but I didn’t mind that at all. After everyone had left, a few wandered back and we began another round of high fives and ball tossing. I’m so glad I got to attend storytime, and I hope the library will invite me to come visit again!

High-five!
