On Friday, we went to Handimedical, a store addressed mainly to disabled people. They have everything you could possibly think of: walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, crutches, canes, bathroom help devices, and much more. Shelley, a respiratory therapist, was our interviewee. She gave us a tour of Handimedical, even the warehouse. We even got to try the latest invention: chairs that can stand upright so you don’t have to get out yourself. I think we can all agree that that was the best part. We also got to see where all the business happened. We got to meet the people who answer to the disabled and help them find what they need. We also met the people who took care of the finance and the people who keep track of the parts Handimedical orders. It was a productive and imformative visit.
